Do-it-yourself tips for creating and using visitor studies: Gardens create excellent visitor experiences. Quantifying those experiences can be difficult. Performing evaluation is not only a great way to better understand your visitors, it's an excellent tool for refining your own goals and objectives. Evaluation can demonstrate the achievement of outcomes that show what impact an experience has on visitors, as well as help satisfy a funder's desire (or requirement) for accountability. In this panel discussion, garden professionals and evaluators will discuss ways that organizations - no matter their budget size - can incorporate evaluation into planning and operations.
